Baptism is a way we show our commitment to God and to become a Christian. Whether you are an adult wanting to be baptised or a parent wanting baptism for a child, we would be delighted to share with you on this part of the journey of faith.
For an adult this should come as a decisive point of declaration of faith following a period of exploration. You would want to worship with us and grow into the Christian life before making the promises of baptism.
In baptising a child, parents and godparents make promises on that they will raise the child in the Christian Faith. It should be your wish that the child joins in active worship in church and the wider life of the Christian community. If this is what you want for your child, then you can see the vicar or the curate to discuss this further.
There is an open surgery on the first and third Saturday of the month between 9 and 10. If this is not practical then please contact the parish office and we will arrange a suitable time to meet.
